My second trimester was great. I think that’s when you really—you get your energy back. You have a cute little baby bump. You can buy maternity clothes so when you’re starting to miss your old body, you just go buy something pretty that accentuates the baby that’s coming.

I felt really, really good. Hungry, but the kind of hungry that you just can never be satisfied but you never really felt overly stuffed either.

A lot of scary things went though that. I went to the hospital all the time. I was bleeding.

I felt a lot better. The morning sickness was gone. I had some energy, and I found out that I was having a girl so that was very exciting for me because that’s exactly what I wanted and that’s when I began doing a lot of shopping and starting to prepare her room and make purchases for her.

I felt as if I had to vomit every second. I felt very sick, nauseous. Everything made me very sick, the smell of it.

I felt great. My energy was back. I had a little baby bump to show off.

As soon as the nausea let up, I started having contractions. I didn’t have them regularly, but I had them often enough that my doctor didn’t want me to be working too much, to be on my feet too much so I spent a lot of time in a chair. It’s kind of like I gave up one bad thing for another.
